About Us

In 1990 the current owners, Danie en Marise, bought the farm from Dannhouser.

Danie and Marise dug the cellar deeper and made the past a part of the present with the architecture, lighting, wooden furniture and Van Loveren wine.

Goedehoop guestfarm can be referred to as a little piece of gold in the Free State. Danie and Marise renovated the house through the years but not much has changed since the 1800’s.The porch is still just as wide as in the old days. The house has beautiful wooden floors, long hallways and a bathtub from the 1800’s.

Goedehoop guestfarm offers amazing adventures for the whole family such as game drives, hunting, wine tasting and the beautiful Goedehoop guesthouse.

Ghoya Africa Conservancy is rooted in the exciting diversity of our country and has many stories to tell. To this day the huts of the Nghoyes can be seen across the hills of this area. In 2001 this conservation area was established by Danie Hattingh and other farmers in the area.
